Audio Snippets: Our Favorite Tool to Attract New Listeners
Casey Combest: Since the beginning of podcasting, we've all been asking the question, how do we get new listeners? On today's episode, we're gonna tell you about audio snippets. One of our favorite tools for getting the word out there about your show, you've probably seen these before, scrolling on your feed. Usually it's a graphic or the guest picture, uh, and there's a wave form with.
Some type of text and it's a 30 to 45 second snippet of something great they said on that show that day. We use wave.com, which we love. It's super easy to use and it's easy to keep creating social snippets as a seamless part of your podcast process. But the big question you're probably asking us, is it worth it?
Is it worth the trouble of adding one more activity to my already busy podcast production schedule? And the simple answer is yes, it. It's sort of like the gateway drug for people committing to a full episode. People might watch two or three of these snippets before they commit to a full episode. These audio snippets can be a wonderful tool to equip your guest, and it's almost like you could give it to him as a gift.
Hey Steve, thanks so much for being on the show. Here was one of our favorite snippets of something you said in this show, so give wave.com a try or some other service that's similar, and try pushing your show with audio snippets. Thanks so much for watching this episode, and have a great day everyone.
